HIV Law Project: In-Brief Update

Increase Your Philanthropic Impact

Dear friends of HIV Law Project:

I am writing to share an opportunity for you to increase your philanthropic impact by donating as little as $25 to HIV Law Project.

The Opportunity

In recognition of HIV Law Project’s 20 years of service to people living with HIV/AIDS, we are making a push to raise $20,000 by June 30, 2009. The board of directors will donate $1 dollar for every $2 donated to HIV Law Project up to $20,000.

20 Years of Excellence & Leadership

As a leader within the community of HIV/AIDS advocates for the past 20 years, HIV Law Project has developed extremely effective programs for protecting the rights, dignity, and quality-of-life of low-income people living with HIV/AIDS. Our direct legal services are unsurpassed in their comprehensiveness and client-first focus. Our Center for Women & HIV Advocacy is setting the standard for training and empowering underserved HIV-positive women to empower themselves, their families, and their communities. Our policy staff fills a critical niche for analysis and insight into cross-sectional issues often overlooked by other HIV advocates.

The respect and trust we enjoy among those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS comes with great responsibility. Clients seek protection and justice. Allies seek partnerships. Government leaders ask for our information and advice. There is no shortage of need. At a time when funding for critical legal and advocacy services continues to be slashed and entire programs servicing people living with HIV/AIDS are being cut, HIV Law Project has stood its ground and kept its doors open.

Engage: Increase Your Impact Today!

The demands on HIV Law Project have never been greater. Together, we can continue to make a real impact on the lives of people who desperately need our help.

Please make a donation and take advantage of this matching opportunity. You can make a secure donation online at www.hivlawproject.org or by sending a check to: HIV Law Project Attn: Michael Pankow 15 Maiden Lane, 18th Floor New York, NY 10038.

HIV Law Project is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Tracy L. Welsh
