GOT TWITTER? FOLLOW HIV LAW PROJECT
Want to make a positive impact in the lives of thousands of people in less than 10 seconds? Post a Tweet supporting the work of HIV Law Project
What is Twitter? It is a simple service (a microblogging site) that helps you share and discover what is happening in real time. Why is it important? Twitter is now the third most popular social network, behind Facebook and MySpace (Compete, 2009) with over a million users each month. Can Twitter Save Lives? Probably not. But, it gives us the opportunity to let others know about the important work that we do each day at HIV Law Project.
Ways You Can Help
If you are on Twitter:

- Invite all your followers to join (follow) @hivlawproject
- Engage in the conversation
Remember: you can be a social media change agent, and the best part: it does not cost you anything and it literally takes less than 10 seconds. Join the fun, be part of the conversation @hivlawproject.
SOCIAL MEDIA: THE BASICS
What is social media? If you've ever read a blog, joined an online discussion group or uploaded a photo to Flickr, you've engaged in social media. Social media is an umbrella term for an open platform (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Blogs) where people can share, change or otherwise participate in the site's content. People of all ages and professions now read blogs, tag articles, join online discussion groups, have profiles on professional social networking sites and post video files.
At HIV Law Project we believe that our supporters (volunteers, donors, clients and staff) are an important part of our organization. Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of people who desperately need our help. Everything we have accomplished would not have been possible without your support.
HIV Law Project wants you to tell our story, collaborate, and engage in co-creation. We have created the "vehicles" or "tools" hoping that you can use them and say "yes, this is an organization I believe in and I'm proud to tell my friends and colleagues that I care about its cause."
