Support Comprehensive Sex Education in New York City Schools

The women at the Center for Women & HIV Advocacy (CWHA) are busily collecting signatures on 1000 postcards urging Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott and Department of Education Chancellor Joel Klein to mandate comprehensive sex education for New York City students. Incredibly, New York City has no standardized sex ed. Consequently, many of our students are denied critical information.

This campaign was undertaken in coalition with Planned Parenthood of New York and is a part of CWHA’s on-going advocacy to guarantee comprehensive sexuality education for students in New York and across the country.
